CONGRESSIONAL WACKOS SUPPORT WEB GAMBLING

On my daily scan of the internet I found another fall-out-of-my-chair report from Politico.com that exposes the fact that certain Washington based wackos are urging the super-committee to approve virtual internet gambling to boost revenue and create jobs. It is well worth your time to read the shocking details via this link:

Just considering the names attached to this effort are sufficient to send massive alarm signals across the country. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reed (D-NV), Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), and Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) are all in support of this nation-wide gambling venture. I suggest that it would be most interesting to determine how much money has floated into the pockets of these three from the gambling special interest PACs.

Repeatedly I have reported the dangers of the proliferation of gambling in America, but it seems to be the easy way out for politicians to enhance their campaign war-chests, and generate new tax revenues so they can buy votes with increases in welfare entitlement programs. Again we have politicians acting in irresponsible ways to find quick solutions to complex problems.

America has been burned numerous times by these politicians and we cannot permit them to run rampant with our economic future with quick-fix deals that we taxpayers will have to bail-out down the road. Hopefully Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) and Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI) will prevail with sanity in the super-committee suggestions and resolutions.
