JACK ABRAMOFF-OUT OF JAIL AND TALKING

I want to draw your attention to a brief article posted on Politico.com by MJ Lee. Former lobbyist Jack Abramoff has been released from prison after serving a three and a half year jail term for illegal influence peddling in the Halls of Congress. He is talking and promoting his autobiography “Capitol Punishment: The Hard Truth About Washington Corruption From America’s Most Notorious Lobbyist.”

As the article notes Abramoff appears on CBS’s “60 Minutes” next Sunday to promote the book, but we already know his convicted crimes. I won’t be buying or reviewing the book because I just do not want to help him make money on the book circuit.

What is disturbing, however, is the degree of corruption that exists within the offices of our elected officials. We must hold those members of the House of Representatives and the Senate totally responsible for this type of criminality.

Too bad we can’t try each and every person he bought.
