QUOTES TO CONSIDER

In recent writings I quoted economist Steve Moore, who is currently a member of the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board. He is frequently seen on television programs addressing the state of our economy, and I was particularly impressed with his following statement:

“We reward vice and punish virtue.”

Just think about that when you consider the state of our government today and the way it addresses the legislative agenda. I further suggest you consider that quotation when you enter the polling booth come November, 2010.

In thinking about Moore’s statement I found another two to consider:

Actress Mae West said: “Virtue has its own reward, but no box office.”

Statesman Benjamin Franklin said: “God will certainly reward virtue and punish vice, either here or hereafter.”

I think these are interesting thoughts to consider on a beautiful fall day; leaves are changing, the sky is a vibrant blue, and temperatures are so pleasant. Enjoy life to its fullest as long as it is granted.
