The airwaves and main-stream media is all a tither this morning with the results of special Congressional elections in New York and Nevada. The results are interesting to say the least, and I am certain they have caused a growing concern within the halls of the White House. Whether the addition of two additional Republican seats within the House of Representatives establishes a trend for the coming 2012 national election is yet to be determined.
What your Commander finds most interesting and significant is that two highly visible politicians are receiving their reward with the election of two Republicans to two long held Democrat House seats. The win in Nevada clearly is a dagger in the heart of Senate Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) political machine’s influence. The loss of the long-held Democrat seat in New York is a just reward to the ultimate shaming of disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY) who will now have to live with another black mark on his political legacy. The loss in New York City is also an indication of a loss in the political power for the arrogant New York Democrat Senator Charles Schumer who once held that House seat.
Do you find ‘the chickens coming home to roost’ to be most satisfying? If I were a betting man I would bet there is plenty of activity in the White House hen house this morning.
