BOOK REVIEW - THE GREATER JOURNEY

Legendary historian David McCullough has written another magnificently researched book titled THE GREATER JOURNEY – AMERICANS IN PARIS that covers numerous Americans who journeyed to Paris between 1830 and 1900 with the intent to improve the quality of their various endeavors as artists, writers, doctors, politicians and architects. Many moved on to become famous with their significant contributions to mankind.

The research and writing skill of McCullough comes to the forefront immediately and makes this an important book to read for both your reading pleasure, your knowledge expansion, and understanding of the influences that the book’s characters cast upon the world and our country.

The many awards McCullough has received, such as two Pulitzer Prizes, and several acclaimed books will assure this work to be another best seller. This is a large book, so it may just be ideal for a Kindle or Nook that will make it easier to hold and enjoy while reading the wondrous details of the special people covered by a gifted writer and observer of history.
