It is obvious to your Commander that election time is just around the corner, because all of the politicians are suddenly announcing all kinds of public works projects. Despite the economic chaos that confronts our country, the federal government has announced an increase in Social Security payments of 3.5% that will bring a few added bucks into the pockets of 55 million recipients.
For the past two years the COLA payments for Social Security were denied, because the inflation rate was low. Now with the election rapidly approaching we are rewarded with an increase in Social Security, paved roads, filled pot-holes and the leaves are being picked up in the neighborhoods around the city. Who are they really kidding?
Just how dumb do the politicians think we are? Upon further reflection we are dumb, because we keep re-electing these same clowns over and over again.
