It takes little commentary from your Commander to understand why Illinois is broke. Unfortunately this financially irresponsible action is being repeated in State after State across our country.

Just look at what is going on in Wisconsin this weekend. I do think that the Wisconsin legislature would have been smart to cut their salaries and benefits first before looking toward the employees of the public sector to solve the budget problems.
In fact, perhaps this idea should move through all of the financially strapped states and our beloved federal government as well. Cut salaries and cut benefits, just like the private sector has had to do for the last four years or so.
When politicians grant bloated pension plans and approve continued payments to convicted felons, what can you expect but financial chaos?
